After a lot of hard work and determination, INHOUSE Venue Technical Management is pleased to announce the addition of the Century City Conference Centre and Hotel to IVTM Western Cape’s portfolio of on-site venues.
Part of the R1-billion mixed use development in the Bridgeways precinct, the Century City Conference Centre (CCCC) was built to accommodate an ever-increasing demand for conference space in the Mother City and to enhance what the province already has on offer for the business event sector.
The new conference centre consists of 11 Meeting/Boardrooms and 4 Halls, capable of accommodating up to 1168 delegates in Hall A, B and C combined. The meeting rooms are fully air-conditioned and suffused with natural light for a comfortable and airy conferencing experience. The offering is tailored to suit intimate meetings and large conferences, cocktail functions, exhibitions, product launches and social events.
Century City Conference Centre, in partnership with Century Connect (the precinct’s open access fibre optic network), offers delegates and guests world-class fibre optic and high speed wireless connectivity. This includes wireless connection to IVTM’s Audio Visual equipment and gives clients the option to operate the audio equipment wirelessly as well. This kind of flexible and slick minimalist technical solution sets the Centre apart as a “new generation” event venue.
In January 2016, the Centre’s first major event, CIPLA, put all departments’ readiness to deliver an extremely high level of customer service and an unparalleled technical experience to the test. For the audio-visual team, this entailed making use of the wireless connect to screen (via the Christie Brio) system which allows for content on connected devices to be wirelessly shared, presented and interacted with, within the same room or multiple locations in real time. This is a positive move towards allowing event managers and presenters to concentrate on, and interact with, the content itself rather than worrying about wired connections and compatibility.
INHOUSE Venue Technical Management’s Barry Farrell has been appointed General Manager at Century City and is looking forward to the challenges this brand new contract brings IVTM.“IVTM is a proactive contributor in taking the technical service at venues to the highest possible level. The Century City Conference Centre is set to go from strength to strength and as their technical partners we can ensure top quality technical service, at affordable pricing, in picturesque, versatile surroundings. It is the venue of the future.”
