On the 5th of February the INHOUSE Business Centre was launched at The Westin Grand, Cape Town Arabella Quays Hotel.

The doors were opened to explore an expansion of the services IVTM offers to their partners and a new venture with long established partner; The Westin Grand Cape Town Arabella Quays.

This pioneering venture for IVTM was met with excitement and a little trepidation of the unknown. Based at a very corporate hotel and with its proximity to, and affiliation with The CTICC, it was not long before the true essence of The Business Centre was born. Already the Business Centre’s guests have labeled the Business Centre “An office away from the office”

Initially, manned solely by on site Manager Mandy-Lynn Mott, the Business Centre became very popular and the requirements quickly increased. After successfully weathering Mining Indaba week in February, with the likes of Anglo American Group as one of their major clients, INHOUSE VTM challenged its own boundaries and raised the bar on the client service excellence the company is known for.

In April, the Business Centre had the opportunity of expanding to its current form, accommodating 4 PC’S dedicated exclusively for use by hotel guests and 2 new state of the art Bizhubs to handle the increased workflow.

2 additional PC’s were installed for administrative use and extra support service machinery was added to cope with the increased use of the centre, such as laminating and binding machines, a guillotine and an extra Multifunction Printer to further improve on delivery.

Stationary supplies were increased triple fold to cope with the demand of not only the supply of printing in mono and color, but also printing of Business cards for clients who needed the service urgently. The Business Center also offers faxing, scan to email, typing and many other on demand services.

The availability of an efficient courier service offered by the Business Centre means that guests are also effortlessly able to dispatch parcels worldwide. Guests have peace of mind, knowing that things are being handled efficiently on their behalf.

When the World Economic Forum arrived in Cape Town in June 2009 the Centre was prepped and ready.

“We had extra staff on hand, and our office hours were extended from 08h00am - 17h00pm to 08h00am – 23h00. For the event organizers, this was a dream come true,” says Mandy – Lynn. “They used our facility non stop! We had the privilege of assisting the Standard Bank Group, the King of Swaziland’s delegation, the President of Kenya’s delegation, and also the likes of Kofi Annan, former Chief of the United Nations.

“Service excellence has been and will continue to be a force of ours to be reckoned with” she maintains.

Mandy-Lynn believes that with this motto as motivation, INHOUSE VTM’s delivery at the Westin Grand Cape Town Arabella Quays Business Centre can only grow from strength to strength.
