The preferred supplier contract between INHOUSE Venue Technical Management and the Southern Sun Newlands hotel has been renewed as of April 2010. With a well balanced, strong and healthy relationship that has been built over the past year by IVTM representative, Bradley Cooke, who has moved up to operationally oversee all Western Cape IVTM venues, the hotel will move ahead with Vaughn de Beer who steps in as Venue Technical Manager at the venue.
This well-designed and centrally located hotel has proven perfect for small to medium sized functions and conferences. It offers 9 venues, each with customizable, signage screens which personalize your function and only the highest quality equipment and cabling, ranging from AV and Audio to Office and IT (not to mention staging and lighting for intimate evening gala dinners and birthday functions).
Due to the number of sports facilities in the near vicinity, including the Newlands Rugby Stadium which is only a stone's throw away; Southern Sun Newlands caters for all teams with a dedicated "team' dining room. As a result, associations such as SA Rugby and SA Cricket enjoy the fantastic service offered by the Southern Sun Newlands on a regular basis.
INHOUSE Venue Technical Management is proud to be associated with this popular venue which will be home to some of the international soccer teams such as France, Paraguay, Netherlands and North Korea - to mention a few - for the duration of the 2010 World Cup. The staff at Southern Sun Newlands is a strong, dedicated, hard working team. Banqueting, kitchen and reservations work hand in hand with IVTM's technical service to ensure that the clients' every conference need is met, no matter how big or small the task. As of 19 May 2010, the hotel was pleased to welcome the new General Manager, Sebastian Berinato. Although new to the hotel Mr Berinato has been with the Southern Sun group for 19 years and comes from the Beverly Hills Hotel which is Southern Suns Flagship Hotel.
Having been in the hotel industry for 36 years, he brings a wealth of knowledge which will positively contribute to the future of the Newlands. "On behalf of Southern Sun Newlands, we would like to thank INHOUSE Venue Technical Management for the superb service provided to the hotel. We wish to sincerely thank Bradley Cooke for the time he spent at Newlands and for the valuable contribution made to the Newlands Team.
Many were sad to see Bradley leave, but we are comforted by his site visits. A warm welcome to Vaughn De Beer, thank you for the service thus far and we know our relationship with you will go from strength to strength. We feel that the service provided is of a superior level and this is emphasized by numerous positive feedback and compliments received from our clients." - Meagan Swail (Assistant FNB Manager)
