INHOUSE Venue Technical Management teams at Lagoon Beach Hotel and the ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel recently had the honour of working on the conclusion of The Long Way Down documentary featuring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. The Long Way Down adventure started back on the 12th May in John-o-Groats in Scotland and thereafter the adventure continued as the passionate motorcyclists travelled by bike all the way down through Europe and Africa taking in many countries along the way. Their journey concluded on the beach at the Lagoon Beach Hotel in Milnerton on Saturday 4th August where INHOUSEVTM provided the audio and lighting for the Press Conference as well as crowd control barrier supplied by Gearhouse SA.

From there the LWD team moved over to the ArabellaSheraton where the INHOUSEVTM team again provided equipment and solutions for their journey end celebrations. IVTM used a Turbosound audio system for local up and coming band the Dirty Skirts and in conjunction with Gearhouse SA provided lighting to change the look of the restaurant area on the Arabella ground floor. The event was an exclusive season finale for the intrepid travellers and their friends and families to enjoy and was very well received by all who attended. Movie Star Ewan McGregor even wowed the guest list with an impromptu jam session on the drums as part of the celebrations.

IVTM's clients from the LWD Production Team left saying "Many thanks for everything! We are all really happy with how everything went".

'Long Way Down' is being produced by Russ Malkin of Big Earth and David Alexanian of Elixir Films and will be shown on the BBC in Autumn 2007. More information on the Long Way Down TV series, the book and the DVD can be found on
