INHOUSE Venue Technical Management, a subsidiary of the Gearhouse Group South Africa, has taken another delivery of 12 units of the Bose L1 Compact portable PA system supplied by Durban-based Energywise Systems over recent months into its various operations across the country. Starting with an initial purchase of 8 sets in 2010, IVTM has now increased its stock holding to 113 units nationally.

With the busy season looming; technical services supplier, INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM) and The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel partnered up recently to offer the hotel’s clients a truly 5-star technical service. This very well established hotel is known for its client-driven approach and prides itself on offering a very high level of service.

All of the hotel’s conference venues underwent refurbishments. The Sherwood Room (formally Garden Room), Lord Nelson Room and Orchid Room each received soft refurbishments. The Union Castle and the Ballroom were completely refurbished which included the installation of high tech, up-to-date presentation equipment. The Union Castle now boasts a full Audio/AV solution controlled via a 7”touch pad which offers clients the option of using a drop down screen and projector or 55”LED plasma. The system is both VGA and HDMI compatible.

THE ARNOLD COMES TO SOUTH AFRICA

The largest multi-sport Festival and Trade Expo South Africa has ever seen, is set to hit our shores in May next year. The Arnold Classic is named after well-known body builder and actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger who orchestrated the inaugural event 27 years ago in Columbus Ohio, together with business partner, Jim Lorimer.

Arnold sports festivals are now held annually in the USA, Europe, Australia and Brazil with the aim of promoting the different sports codes to the youth and in 2016 the event will launch in Johannesburg, South Africa and Hong Kong as well. Almost the entire Sandton Convention Centre will be occupied by some 30,000 attendees; including coaches, families and supporters and 10,000 athletes of which at least 5,000 are expected to be youth athletes.

IN TUNE WITH ASHRAF ALLIE AN EPIC RACE FOR ALL

Technical Services provider, INHOUSE Venue Technical Management (IVTM), was appointed as the preferred supplier for the 12th annual ABSA Cape Epic which took place from 15 to 22 March 2015. The INHOUSE VTM team have been involved with the ABSA Cape Epic since 2008, supplying all technical equipment for the main event and pre-events, media and route launches leading up to the race, nationally when necessary.

The client-supplier relationship between IVTM and the ABSA Cape Epic Team is a perfect example of the IVTM ethos encapsulated in the company’s tag line, Your Technology Partner. “IVTM’s ability to build long-term and mutually beneficent relationships with their clients is integral to the success of the delivery,” says IVTM’s Conference & Events Manager, Ashraf Allie. “It requires a real investment from both sides.
